Gotta love spring around here!

Belief: what is it? We spend our lives believing that God is our God. Is he really our Authority? I’ve been struck lately with the thoughts of what we do when it hits the fan. We serve God when its easy or “in line” with the rest of our lives. What about when it doesn’t? When Jesus came back from the dead, his command was simple. Serve me and further my kingdom. If we don’t act on our faith, we’re no better than the demons, they believe AND tremble at his name. So we just need to KEEP ON SERVING. This week, I found out we owe a ton of money to the IRS, and more to the state. I started out angry, at both God and anyone i could look at. Then, at the leader retreat yesterday I realized that if God gives me everything, all things come from him, what do I care what he spends it on? If my response to everything is “Keep serving the Lord” then things like that don’t change our path. Read matthew 28: 16-20 for more about some of Gods final instructions to us before he left earth.

Having a blast with Casey and Rachel and some other YG leaders at the YS conference. We get to meet leaders from all over the pdx area and trade stories and jokes. Its also a great place to refresh and remember why we do it.

So the hot water heater sprung a leak, prompting us to pull up the floor in the basement. Thankfully we caught it in time and with the help of good friends we got it cleared. Stay tuned for mo’ better pics!

Tearing everything out of the living room and getting ready to paint. We took the curtains down a while ago, but then had the basement “flood” so we had to take time for that. Soon the living room will be new and fresh and we’re putting the hardwood floor in the living room upstairs.
